PostHeaderIcon Pole Dancing For Fitness

Most people immediately think of strip clubs and gentlemen’s clubs when you mention pole dancing. However, that isn’t the only place you’ll find the dance nowadays. Many dance studios and fitness clubs are now teaching this style of dancing. This doesn’t mean it is only for women looking for a career on the Vegas strip or the local strip club; this dance can be fun for any woman and can even help them lose weight.

Most women find pole dancing to be sensual and exciting. They also enjoy the fact that it is a great form of exercise, working muscle groups you never knew existed! Upper and lower body strength and core muscles are key. As a result, it will help tone and firm up the upper body as well as legs. Even women that aren’t overweight complain about not being toned in many areas of their body. This could affect a woman’s self confidence and feeling of sexual appeal.

Many women find that pole dancing does add to the excitement in the bedroom! It allows a woman to do some sexy moves for her man which typically gets a strong supportive reaction from her mate. What man wouldn’t want to have this excitement going on in the privacy of their own bedroom? It helps keep the thrill of a relationship alive which is definitely important.

Many celebrities are now endorsing this style of dancing for fitness. Demi Moore has admitted to taking classes for fitness as well as having one at home for personal use. These types of fitness programs typically combine dancing with various forms of gymnastics and stretching exercises. You will need to be strong and flexible to be successful with pole dancing. These programs will help you achieve those goals.

More recently, there has even been pole dancing fitness programs introduced for men. These help men get an excellent workout for some of the muscle regions that they haven’t been able to successfully build up through other workout programs. The stereotype that pole dancing is only for women is starting to fade away even though most dancers are still women.

PostHeaderIcon Street Fighting Moves – 3 Facts Why Getting Totally Relaxed and Zen-Like to Fight is Stupid

There are some proponents of very “soft” styles of martial arts like Tai Chi and Aikido that express the premise of getting totally relaxed, peaceful and one with your chi as the way to fight in life or death street survival situations. If anyone has been in a real street encounter, you know that the explosive, chaotic and violent nature of a real fight is nothing like that which one sees staged in martial arts demonstrations.

There are 3 facts that I would like to submit to you in this article for your consideration that goes counter to the belief of peace and relaxation to fight.

Fact # 1 – Have Your Ever Seen Any Animal Fight In A Relaxed State – For those of you who like to imitate how animals fight in order to develop new martial arts styles, consider this. Every type of animal that I have ever seen fight, watching National Geographic specials, always fights aggressively. One of the first signs that you know a fight is about to happen is when the animal moves from a relaxed state to an aggressive state.

Fact # 2 – Jesus, When He Fought In The Temple, Did Not Fight In A Relaxed State – This may not seem like a fact for those of you who have little regard for spiritual giants, but it is interesting that the account in Matthew 21:12, shows that Jesus got angry when he drove the money changers and the bird vendors out of the temple.

Fact # 3 – Soft Styles Like Aikido And Tai Chi Are Rarely Seen Or Recorded In Street Combat – I have a video kung fu and martial arts blog and I search all over YouTube and the internet for real-life footage of martial artists defending themselves with their various fighting styles. To date I have not seen any real-life footage capturing any martial artist fighting in a life or death situation executing a “soft” style in an apparent state of total relaxation and bliss.

In a real life or death street struggle for your life–don’t be blissed–be pissed!

PostHeaderIcon Building Real Physical Bodyweight Strength

Building real strength does not happen overnight. It doesn’t happen training 6 months then taking a month off for your body to rest. A lot of fitness professionals talk about resting and letting the body rest. Most people think you need to let your body sit idle to build real power. Real strength happens after years of training and not stopping. If your injured rest that body part and then train another one, there is no excuse.

If you are a body builder and are looking for massive muscles. Rest. If you want functional muscle and strength train everyday. Your body will adapt to the stress you put on your body, it will get stronger. Look at laborers, concrete workers, freight handlers, furniture movers, ditch diggers any labor job these men do this everyday without a split routine. Their body always adapts to the stress of physical labor if they they get hurt they don’t get paid, if they are sore they still work, this is just a way of life.

So why is it that when you exercise you need to take days off? Do you think you work harder flipping tires 3x’s a week then a man that loads 48′ trailers full of truck tires every single day 5 days a week for years. Do you think pulling a sled with 100 lbs on it across a parking lot is like pulling around pallet jacks with 1000lb skids on it. Or maybe you think kettlebell training is harder then moving furniture for years.

How many farmers take days off after 15 hours of labor? None they would starve. This is why using your body weight is so important. It forces you to use as many muscles as possible, almost any body weight exercise uses many muscles and the more muscles you use over time the stronger you will become.

Training is a way of life, real strength is built by putting in the time and doing it over and over again until it becomes part of your life. Don’t think too much into it, just train hard and listen to your body and you will get results.

You should consume this protein twice daily for developing your muscles easily. Casein proteins that are mostly found in dairy based products can be also beneficial for our body. This protein slowly releases amino acids in our stomach that consequently promotes energy. PostHeaderIcon Three Martial Arts Moves You Absolutely Need to Know!

So what are some of the best kept secrets in terms of martial arts moves? I will explore and show you some great moves and tips to get the most from your martial arts training and make you an even better, stronger and faster fighter!

Martial arts moves #1 – The groin kick. You can use as many various ways as inflicting damage to the groin as possible, and it is not limited to the kick. You can grab, pull, twist, punch, elbow, stomp, even bite. It’s a sensitive area on the male body and doing anything to injure it will work.

Martial arts moves #2 – The eye gouge. When I did extensive training in Jeetkunedo Concepts my instructor forced us to realize that the eye gouge can be more devastating then a punch to the face. If you can shove a finger into his eye socket and cause some serious damage by all means do it. When you see a UFC fighter get eye gouged they take a 5 minute break. Obviously it works so use it!

Martial arts moves #3 – Kick to the kneecap. If you can break through an attackers kneecap you can permanently damage him, and stop the attack from progressing. using this technique you want to visualize yourself kicking through the knee joint. If you can drop a bad guy on the ground and have him squeeling in pain like a baby pig, you’ve just finished and won the fight!

Try to memorize and implement those three different techniques I outlined above. They are good techniques to incorporate into your training regimen.
